GRATZ was the singular catalyst to the resurgence and expansion of ABsolute Pilates in Charlotte, NC, after our association as an accredited training center for a contemporary Pilates method came to an abrupt end after 10 years.

The journey to Classical Pilates and GRATZ apparatus was transformational (or do I dare say revolutionary) not only for our clients, but also staff and studio. ABsolute Pilates has been at the epicenter of wellness in the beautiful Carolinas since our inception 20 years ago, and we now teach exclusively Classical Pilates on authentic GRATZ apparatus to an expanded client base beyond our imagination.

About Monica Hoekstra

Founder and Owner of ABsolute Pilates

Monica Hoekstra is the co-founder and owner of ABsolute Pilates, and the creator and founder of Core Barre. She is certified by Romanas Pilates, The NYC Pilates TeacherTraining, Balanced Body and formerly Stott Pilates, for which she was an Instructor Trainer for 10 years. In addition, she is also a certified Gyrotonic and Gyrokinieses instructor. She credits her education and experience to the gifted trainers in the Classical Pilates community.
