"I love all of my Gratz equipment. It's all about feeling good after an effective Pilates workout with Gratz.
Time has proven that the traditional work of Joe Pilates works with the use of Gratz's line of equipment."
- Cecilia S. Ibarrola, Studio Owner, Regional Director & Instructor
Integrated Body Arts Pilates
Integrated Body Arts pioneered Pilates in the Philippines in 1996. It is a fully equipped Pilates studio that prides itself on its commitment to personalized attention and intelligent teaching by Romana's Pilates® certified instructors. They believe that no two bodies are the same, and their mission is to work with each client as an individual with unique needs and goals.
Integrated Body Arts is the first Philippine Pilates studio located in the hear of the Makati Business District. It prides itself of its full-service studio, utilizing top of the line GRATZ equipment, enabling them to offer professional and personalized Pilates instruction. They teach the system of exercises based on the underlying philosophy originally developed and taught by Joseph and Clara Pilates, as handed down to Joseph Pilates protege Romana Kryzanowska. People of all fitness levels are welcome to experience the benefits of the Pilats method in its true and original form as only GRATZ equipment provides.
The instructors at Integrated Body Arts have been guided and trained in the original Pilates method by Master Instructors Romana Kryzanowska, Sari Mejia Santo, Juanita Lopez, and Cynthia Lochard. Held to the highest standards, they undertake the responsibility in the preservation of the teachings of Joseph Pilates, by attending yearly Continuing Professional Education, which serves as their means of ensuring that what they impart to their clients remains in its true and original form.
The talented instructors of this studio include: Cecilia Sicangco Ibarrola (Level 2), Judell Trician de Guzman Sicam (Level 5+), Brando M. Miranda (Level 5+), and Cindy Espinas-Valdez (Level 5+).
It's been 15 years since they first opened their studio teaching Pilates to clients with varied physical needs and it never ceases to amaze them how bodies change for the better. They say that a major part of this "miracle" is achieved through the use of Gratz equipment. They had started their practice with just a reformer and a cadillac, but when the decision to expand the studio arose, due to high demand, there was no doubt in mind that Gratz equipment was the only choice to complete the full line of Pilates equipment. Now the studio is fully equipped with 5 reformers, cadillac, guillotine, high chairs, ladders barrels, wunda chairs, wall units, small barrels, and spine corrector. Even the small apparatus like the neck stretcher, toe exerciser, breath-a-cizor, push up device, and sand bag can be found in their studio.
They are confident in what their studio can offer enabling them to hold annual Romana's Pilates® Continuing Professional Education and Certification Seminars. Cecilia says that have Gratz equipment gives her the confidence in her work as a Romana's Pilates Level 3 instructor trainer. The flow of movement, one of the basic principles of Pilates, is greatly achieved by the spring mechanism of the the different apparatus. One is able to control the spings with one's intrinsic use of the powerhouse (the core). A silent workout on a Gratz apparatus can only mean control - another important principle of Pilates, which was originally called "The Art and Science of Contrology."
