Alix began her education with a Power Pilates Comprehensive Certification. Shortly after completion, she was accepted to Real Pilates certification program studying under acclaimed second generation teacher Alycea Ungaro. As a third generation teacher, Alix is on a mission to continue to spread classical Pilates to the community. The longtime dream to open Grace Studio, came after Alix’s husband Carl was diagnosed with stage IV inoperable cancer for the second time. Alix emphatically credits both Pilates and Yoga as her “saving grace” through a very challenging time, and now devotes her energy towards creating a space for others to feel the same.

Preserving the lineage of Joe Pilate’s original teachings is one of the things that inspires Alix, and her league of third generation trainers that she helps nurture through the Real Pilates Training program out of Grace Studio. “At Grace, we honor the legacy of Joe Pilates, Romana Kryzanowska, and Alycea Ungaro, and take the utmost care in preserving the original work as it was intended,” says Alix.
