In my search to continue expressing myself through my body after being a dancer, I tried Yoga, swimming and the gym, but I didn’t feel the connection I had with myself when I danced, the complete abstraction, the freedom of movement, feeling myself, losing track of time and space. Until in 2009 I found and tried a session of Pilates for the first time with my extraordinary mentor, professor and friend, Fabien Ferrino Menegon. From the first day I knew it would change my life and it did. Evolution not only of my mind, but of my body and emotions, that is what daily practice of Authentic Pilates has given me, and this is what allows me to reach my goals, to see and feel the changes I experience, it is what encourages me to keep going and to keep going further because ageing doesn’t matter if your movements are agile, strong and flexible.

Practicing Pilates is a way of pampering your body instead of waiting for youth to pass, it is enjoying yourself through MOVEMENT, my favourite word and action, it is realising your body’s potential.

I still study the Authentic Method with whom I consider to be one of the best schools worldwide: EEDAP (Spanish School of Authentic Pilates). Having the opportunity to learn from the best professionals and to be part of a very select community whose only aim is the perfection of the practice in order to pass the method on to our clients in its original form, is a privilege and my inspiration, but it is a commitment as well. This is why all of us who practice and teach the Authentic Method passionately and professionally know the importance of the GratzTM machines, a legacy that allows us to keep the discipline in its pure form, just as that extraordinary man left it as a legacy for humanity. Professional dancer, graduate from the National School of Dance of Mexico City, I have been part of the Amalia Hernandez’s Folkloric Ballet, The Latin American Neoclassic Ballet, the National Theatre Company of Mexico, Danzart Espacios and several musical comedies as well as T.V. shows. Creator and monitor of the technique “Dynamic Tension” for sports institutions and private lessons.
